From today people can consult, report or complain the service of government affairs, no matter for endowment insurance or medical service, for air pollution or safety production, by calling one hotline.
Shandong has integrated the 31 provincial governmental hotlines into one and put it into a trail operation, marking the connectivity between the provincial and urban hotline systems. The public in the future can consult and reflect their appeals, give advices, and report or complain by calling the provincial governmental hotline 0531-12345. The answering center will provide a round-the-clock service to deal with the calls.
Many provincial departments had set up the public service hotline to deal with consultation or complaints from the masses. However, the increasing number of hotlines also caused a lot of problems such as disordered management, low disposal efficiency and out-of-date information. In order to further enhance the service quality and standardized operation, Shandong Provincial Government resolved to integrate the overmuch government service hotlines into one telephone number on November last year, so as to realize the connectivity of the governmental service and make it convenient for the people.
Next, Shandong will continue to extend the integration of hotlines to counties(county-level cities or districts) and enhance the operating mechanism.
