The 18th Yellow Sea Rim China-Japan-ROK Economic & Technological Exchange Conference was held from Nov. 20 to 21, 2019 in Jining, Shandong Province.
Attendees had an in-depth discussion at the conference on strengthening the construction of international industrial parks in China, Japan and ROK, and promoting the development of industries such as high-end equipment manufacturing, bio-medicine and new-energy materials.
Peng Gang, director-general of the Department of Asian Affairs of MOC, Sioda Kouiti, director-general of the Kyushu Economic and Trade Bureau of Japan, and Jin Jijun, director-general of the Free Trade Agreement Negotiation Bureau addressed the meeting.
Peng Gang said that 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the mechanism of Trilateral Cooperation among China, Japan and South Korea. At present, the mechanism has become a useful supplement to the all-round, wide-ranging and deep-seated economic and trade cooperation among the three countries and important platform of local economic cooperation. China welcomes Japanese and ROK companies to take an active role in China’s new round of opening-up to expand the breadth and depth of cooperation in the Yellow Sea Rim and jointly build a new pattern of open and inclusive trilateral cooperation.
Sioda Kouiti expressed the hope that the three parties could take this conference as an opportunity to expand communication channels, continue to deepen extensive cooperation in economy and trade, investment, third-party markets, scientific and technological innovation and other fields, constantly cultivate new economic growth points and actively lead the regional economic integration.
More than 300 people from the three countries attended the conference.
