National comprehensive pilot project launched to standardize basic public services

The launch ceremony of the national comprehensive pilot project to standardize basic public services was held in Chengyang District of Qingdao, Shandong Province, on July 8, 2020. The "Sunshine Chengyang" pilot project of standardizing social governance was launched simultaneously.

According to the national notification issued on March 24, Chengyang District, on behalf of Qingdao, is prior to carrying out the national pilot project of standardizing basic public services, together with Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and other 47 cities and counties. The pilot project covers public education, employment and entrepreneurship, social insurance, medical health, social service, housing security, public culture and sports, preferential treatment, services for the disabled, and other fields required by the provincial departments.

The pilot project will promote the equalization, popularization and convenience of basic public services through standardization. In recent years, Chengyang District actively makes innovations in the mode of social governance, keeps abreast with the public-service quality requirements, and promotes the standardization of public services such as transparent enrollment, transparent employment, transparent renovation of shanty towns and family doctor. It’s reported that the system structure and operation process of the pilot project are in order and a characteristic standardization system has taken shape in Chengyang District.
