The 2nd China International Cultural Tourism Fair was inaugurated on Sept. 16 at the Shandong International Convention and Exhibition Center in Jinan, China’s Shandong province.
From Sept. 16 to 20, the fair will bring people a series of events about the cultural tourism, including exhibitions, summits, forums, negotiations and promotions.
The fair has set up 10 exhibition areas in the main venue for cultural and tourism integration, “Friendly Shandong” cultural tourism brand image, cultural tourism in regions along the Yellow River, cultural tourism equipments, rural revitalization, creative design, national arts and crafts, Belt&Road, Cartoon and Games, and Artwork.
The total exhibition area of the fair is about 100,000 square meters. More than 2,600 exhibitors from 17 countries and 22 provinces and regions in China participate in the fair with 500,000-odd pieces of exhibits. In addition to the main venue, 25 sub-venues have also been set up in the districts and counties in Jinan. As one of the most eye-catching exhibition areas in this fair, the Belt & Road Characteristic Exhibition Area invites institutions or agencies in China from 17 countries including France, Germany, New Zealand, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Turkey and Argentina.
As a new Shandong cultural creative brand launched in this year’s fair, Handicrafts in Shandong exhibition covers an area of 600 square meters for exquisite Shandong hand-made art wares and an area of 400 square meters for handicrafts bazaar, to display excellent works of arts and crafts in all categories, including ceramics, weaving and embroidery, lacquerware, and four treasures of the Chinese study.
The fair also prepares a big people-benefit “gift package” for the public. During the event, Shandong will issue 2 million yuan of consumer vouchers for the public and cultural and tourism exhibitors will launch a batch of boutique tourism routes and lunched time-limited discounts tickets for some scenic spots and special commodities.
Against the backdrop of the global spread of COVID-19 and uneven recovery of the world economy, it is of great significance for China and the world to continue to hold the cultural tourism fair and amplify its spillover effect.
